Each year, the CLCSC Awards Committee considers Southern California authors and illustrators published in the previous year. The awards are presented and celebrated at the annual Awards Ceremony (formerly the Fall Gala). During the current year, titles are compiled on a main list, or Wet List, in order to ensure as many qualifying titles are included for consideration as possible.
The Committee considers all books written and/or illustrated by Southern California authors and illustrators and published in the year preceding the Award year.
The current 2026 titles listed below will be considered for the 2027 Award year. It will be updated as the year goes on and considered complete by December 31, 2026.
